Delhi pollution LIVE updates: Parts of capital still under ‘Very Unhealthy’ category

Delhi pollution Live Updates: However, pollution still continues to disrupt the train schedule with 49 trains reported to be running late.

The Delhi National Capital Region got some relief from smog as light showers on Friday night slightly brought down the temperature. The MeT department has predicted partly cloudy skies today with the possibility of rain. Meanwhile, the Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) on Friday had slammed the Delhi government stating that negligible action in improving public transport had ‘weakened’ the Graded Response Action Plan. The pollution watchdog also said other states have been doing ‘more than their share’ in controlling the air-pollution hazard.

Commenting on the ‘odd-even’ car rationing scheme, EPCA chairperson Bhure Lal said that the scheme can be implemented if the air quality dipped to ’emergency’ levels. However, pollution still continues to disrupt train schedules with 49 trains reported to be running late. As per a report in news agency ANI, 14 trains are said to be rescheduled while one has been cancelled.
